An article titled "Schools, Parents to Pay for Governor's School" on the local ABC affiliate WTVD-TV Website reports that students who attend the Governor's School of North Carolina will be required to pay a $500 tuition payment.

Due to the budget crisis, state leaders have decided that for the first time, it will implement a tuition fee for rising seniors who attend Governor's School.

The $500 fee will be used to offset the state's 35 percent budget cut.
