An article titled "Christie, Guadagno Make Monmouth County Stops" in the Holmdel Independent mentions a speech New Jersey gubernatorial candidate Chris Christie gave at the New Jersey Governor's School of Public Issues. An article titled "Christie Makes Monmouth County Stops" in the Atlanticville details the subject of the speech.
From the Holmdel Independent
At Monmouth University in West Long Branch, Christie spoke to students
participating in the state's Governor's School of Public Issues for
roughly 45 minutes last week on topics ranging from his failed attempt
to secure his re-election to the Morris County Board of Chosen
Freeholders to his seven years as the state's U.S. Attorney.
From the Atlanticville
"One of the things I remember sitting in seats like where you are
sitting now looking at people who are as old as I am, I would think to
myself, 'There is no way, no way I'm getting there,' " Christie said to
the dozens of Governor's School students. "Let me tell you, I am standing here as living proof that 30 years from
now, one of you could be standing here," Christie said. "Because I come
from where you come from. My background is your background."
