A letter to the editor from a 2004 Governor's School for Agriculture alumna titled "Governor's School Offers Value" in the Centre Daily Times [PA] encourages Governor Rendell to preserve the Pennsylvania Governor's Schools of Excellence.
With the current economy, few parents can afford to send their
children to enriching programs. These scholars are selected not based
on the depths of their pockets, but on their acquisition of knowledge.
In times when it is hard to put food on the table, Governor’s School brings a welcomed word: free.
