An article titled "Sounds of Lamar Alexander to Fill Schermerhorn" in The Tennessean features an upcoming performance of Senator Lamar Alexender with students from the Tennessee Governor's School for the Arts, a program Alexander founded 25 years ago.
You’ll have a chance to hear him tickle the ivories in person on
Thursday, when he plays a concert with students from the Tennessee
Governor’s School for the Arts at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center.
The senator founded the school 25 years ago and performed at its first
summer finale concert, which marks the end of a four-week residency
program for students with outstanding abilities in music, dance, visual
art and theater.
