VT - Governor's Institute Winter Weekend |

An article titled "Vermont Youth Come to Statehouse to Push Lawmakers on Environment" in the Barre Montpelier Times Argus features the Governor's Institutes of Vermont Winter Weekend, in which attendees were inspired to take action on environmental change.
The impetus for the rally grew out of the 2008 Governor's Institute
Winter Weekend, which focused on global climate change. (Watson led a
science and engineering workshop.) The students who participated in the
weekend were determined to take action, rather than have their passion
end in rhetoric. They formed the Vermont Sustainable Heating Initiative
and held their first legislative rally Feb. 20.
