An article titled "True Magic" on the Teen Ink Website is written by an alumna of the New York State Summer School for the Arts program in film and features the influence the program had in understanding the fundamental differences between digital video and film.
I sent that first movie with my application for the film program at New
York State Summer School of the Arts and was accepted. When I arrived
there, I was surprised to learn that “film” was not synonymous with
digital video.

An entry for Chris Lightcap in the Encyclopedia of Jazz Musicians on Jazz.com mentions that Lightcap is an alumnus of the Pennsylvania Governor's School for the Arts.
An interest in the upright bass gradually developed but as his high
school had no orchestral program, he didn't start playing the
instrument until the age of seventeen. While attending the Pennsylvania
Governor's School for the Arts in the summer of 1988, he took classical
double bass lessons with Nadja Gale and studied improvisation and jazz
harmony with pianist George W. Russell.

program "Outlook" from West Virginia Public Television. Mike Youngren produced this story on the Governor's
School for Math and Science at the National Radio Astronomy Observatory
in Greenbank, West Virginia. Bob Wilkinson and Chuck Frostick were the
videographers for this piece. Wilkinson was also the video editor.

The residence life staff at the Virginia Governor's School for Humanities and Visual & Performing Arts at the University of Richmond recently developed a short film on the ubiquitous Governor's School button titled "Le Bouton Perdu (The Lost Button)."
